A Fleet Reimagined: Introducing Holland America Evolution
Holland America just announced Holland America Evolution, a top-to-bottom refresh of six of its Signature and Vista Class ships. This isn’t a cosmetic touch-up. Evolution brings:
- Pinnacle Class experiences expanded to more ships across the fleet
- New guest-favorite venues, including the Grand Dutch Café
- Refined staterooms and suites, plus entirely new categories
- Refreshed guest spaces throughout each vessel
- New onboard experiences still being unveiled
The first ship to debut the Evolution refresh is the Oosterdam, launching fall 2027. Zuiderdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Westerdam, Noordam, and Eurodam will follow. Now open for sale, this is the moment to book before demand catches up with the buzz.
36 Ways to See Alaska in 2027
Holland America’s 2027 Alaska cruisetour season (running May through September) is its most expansive yet, with 36 itineraries and 17 ports to choose from. A few standout numbers:
- 200+ shore excursions
- 175+ animal sanctuary and sightseeing opportunities
- 1 to 3 nights at the private Holland America Denali Lodge
- 2 nights in Dawson City, Yukon, on Yukon tours
- 80 years of Alaska sailing experience
Whether you’re dreaming of glacier views from the deck or wildlife encounters on land, there’s an itinerary built for it.

What’s New for 2027 Travelers
Brand-new Denali Lodge rooms. The private Holland America Denali Lodge, tucked into the foothills of Denali National Park & Preserve, debuts new guest rooms in 2027 alongside its existing amenities.
More flexible Denali itineraries. Several 2026 cruisetours are getting refreshed names and additions like Tour Directors and stops at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. And for travelers who want a shorter land extension, brand-new 11-day Signature Denali itineraries are joining the lineup for the first time, including options built around Fairbanks and a ride on the Riverboat Discovery.
A guarantee on the glacier. With the Alaska Glacier Guarantee, guests are promised a glacier sighting on their cruise, or they’ll receive a future cruise credit equal to 15% of their cruise fare.
Seafood you can trust. Holland America is the first and only cruise line triple certified for serving fresh, sustainable, and traceable wild-caught Alaska seafood on board.
Exclusive access to Dawson City. Holland America remains the only cruise line offering escorted tours and two-night stays in Dawson City, Yukon, letting travelers retrace the footsteps of Klondike Gold Rush prospectors by land, sea, and rail.
