Globetrotting to Southeast Asia with Linda
I invite you to follow me as I depart with our Blue Horizon group to Southeast Asia Jan 11-Feb 2 2018

January 11, 2018 Departing for Southeast Asia

While I won’t be arriving in Southeast Asia on elephant back, instead it will be aboard EVA Airlines, which is an airline based in Taiwan. I was in Thailand in 2015, and was so eager to return to Southeast Asia.  Today it becomes a reality.

So, after 15 hours of flying from Chicago, we stop in Taipei for 3 hours to stretch our legs before arriving in Hanoi, Vietnam.  Ten of our group members are starting out today with the remaining 4 departing on Jan 13th.

Note:  When you ride an elephant in Thailand there are no saddles.  The elephant bends his knee, you grab his ear, and pull yourself up.  Then place your legs under the elephant’s ears and grab the tussle of hair on the elephant’s head!
